In January 2017, the resignation of Fair Work Commission Vice President Graeme Watson attracted significant national media attention. A key factor in this public interest was the content of VP Watson’s resignation letter, sent to Minister for Employment Michaelia Cash, in which he outlined a number of concerns with Australia’s workplace relations legislation and the way it was being administered by the national tribunal.
AREEA received the letter from numerous private sources and, after a period of around a month, have decided to publish a copy of this letter on our website for future reference, given it is quite evident that this letter is widely in circulation among media and various industrial organisations.
